Capping off an eventful weekend of great football ends with two teams left, the Kansas City Chiefs and also the San Francisco 49ers. A classic Super Bowl match up between a great offense and a great defense. The 49ers have a stout defensive line that includes many lottery picks that have panned out very nicely for them, while on the other side the Chiefs have a great young quarterback in Patrick Mahomes who can change the game around anytime.
A mismatch for the 49ers offense who ran all over the Packers defense who ranks 23rd in run defense, is now playing a struggling Kansas City defense who ranks 29th in the run. The Chiefs held the unstoppable force of Derrick Henry to only 7 yards in the second half of the AFC championship so it seems to be coming together for their defense.
The Super Bowl odds set by Las Vegas contained a pretty surprising underdog. The Chiefs are (-1) odd favorite, it isn’t a huge favorite but from watching the way the 49ers have rolled through playoff teams this entire year has many fans thinking there is no possible way this defense can lose this game, despite Patrick Mahomes on the other side of the ball. The money line isn’t a huge difference either only being separated by $16 dollars.
The Kansas City Chiefs need to avoid pressure on the QB and keep a pocket for Patrick Mahomes this game to pull off a huge victory, while this great 49ers defense has to keep the game close and not allow the Chiefs offense to run away with the game and like they love to do.
